Modification of Stock Church Plans
DigitalChurchPlans.com provides unstamped church
building plans to churches, allowing them to get those plans
modified by their local architect or by us at ABL Architecture &
Design. Modifications to plans fall can be thought of
as falling into three broad levels of complexity.
As a general rule, modifications that would be typical of the
lowest level of complexity changes such as removing or moving
interior, non load-bearing walls to resize a room, dividing a
large area into smaller rooms, combining smaller rooms into
larger spaces, changing door and window positions, sizes and
types, and even moving certain rooms around. This is
typical of a church plan that very closely meets the needs of
the church as is, and provides the greatest cost savings.
Church design cost savings with this level of complexity of
change may well be expected to exceed 80% (depending on square
footage).
The next level of complexity would be large scale redesign or
relocation of rooms, substantially changing the interior floor
plan of the church, substantially moving "wet walls" (walls with
plumbing in them), moving corridors, fire rated walls, or
firewalls, add a balcony, or substantially changing the
elevation of the building. This level of complexity can
still be readily accomplished with huge cost savings using our
plans, with savings that can reasonably be expected to exceed
50% or more (depending on scope of changes and square footage).
The third level of complexity is when the church desires to
add a floor or basement or change the footprint (size or shape
of exterior walls). In cases such as this, where extensive
changes are required, the church should be careful to discuss
this with our architect to see if the church should consider
another plan before they purchase a stock plan.
Custom Church Plans
DigitalChurchPlans.com prides itself on having a wide variety
of practical and cost effective church plans, however, there may
not be a plan that meets your needs. If you have reviewed our
church plans and cannot find just the right solution for your
needs and location, ABL Architecture is able to provide
competitively priced church design services from the simplest to
the most grand designs. Having designed entire
communities, planned developments, church conference facilities
and more, ABL is able to design a solution for just about any
church. Please use the contact
form to let us know what you are looking for in a church
design.
Master Planning
Regardless of where you get your plans, before you build a
church you should have a master plan. A master plan will
help you visualize the church property in its fully developed
state, to help make sure you build this building in the right
place in order to fit into a larger plan as your church grows.
A master plan is also a wonderful tool for casting and
maintaining focused vision, and can be an important part of a
capital stewardship program.
Color Renderings
Sometimes it is difficult for church members to visualize
what the church will look like when completed. A color
rendering of one of our church plans brings the two dimensional
plan into lifelike 3-D reality through a photorealistic color
rendering of the exterior. Color renderings of our plans
are available for an additional fee.
